Notes on Thank You Day from a sick mind
I am sick. Hence, some notes from the mind of a sick man.
I nearly rested the whole day today. I am sneezing like my room is infuse with pollen. My head feels like parts of it are cold. Like Lady Winter waved her fingers over it, There is some slight pain in my joints. My sniffles is now officially a flu. And to complicate matter there seems to be no end nor solution to the crime done by the agents of malice last Friday. These mass murderers and political assassins have done their dastardly deed and they have done it well.
Maybe that is why despite this sick-feeling I had last Saturday. I went to the Thank You Day Celebration. Maybe because I wanted to see how it would turn out. Perhaps because I did not want to fall into a state of siege a lot people were under. And maybe because I wanted to enjoy the Saturday despite the descending medical malaise descending on me.
It is said the goodwill and chocolate can raise one’s endorphin levels.
It did and it worked. Probably delaying and relieving the pain and headache for a few hours.
The event itself was fun. Despite the scare brought by the bomb attack. People still came. Probably not as much but they did come. The number would have probably have been bigger if there was no bomb scare.
Favorite song for the night was FrancisM’s Kaleidoscope World. The song was so apt and the crowd began singing along.
A brief pause as we let Morris R Cache write something about the event:
Moi was happy to see a number of bloggers at the event. Despite the bomba tha made sabog-sabog at Glorietta 2. I spied with my eyes the following bloggers:Benj and Jeff got lost. JM who is starting his stint with PinoyCentric was there along Karla. Lauren and little bit later Fritz, Helga and the guys from the Man Blog were there as well. And the Bugman was there as well with his latest ultra-chic Geek bling . It was molto bueno mga palanggas. Time well spent. Ciao Honey!! I will send the your loads soon. Kiss !!
And now back to our regular post.
You can see a video, posts about the event and pictures of the event here with Jayvee, Anton, Noemi, and Analyn.
Anyway, Its of to bed for me. And get some more rest. Thank You Day was and is a worthwhile event. It was fun to be part of its viral marketing campaign,
