Interesting and not-so-random images

some images not-so-randomly-selected in the past two days

Interesting shots from an equally interesting presentation.

Who would have thought web copywriting could be an interesting subject, kudos to Jayvee for making it so. For those who missed this presentation you can download and listen to the podcast of the presentation at Radio Cubao here.

The actual slide presentation will eventually be uploaded. I think. It all depends on Mr Fernandez.

Truly enjoyable and impressive, I must say.
I read your Tagalog review of A QUESTION OF HEROES and got some insight I did not have before.
Yes, I am interested in anything Nick Joaquin especially criticism of his works.

Ia m his eldest nephew from his oldest brother, Ping Joaquin who, for a time, was voted Jazz Pianist of the year in the Philippines.

As you know Nick Joaquin passed away on April 29th 2004.

Now, I am asked by the family to be the official biographer of this national artist uncle of ours.

I would be interested in your other comments about any of Mr. Joaq’s works if you care to share.

    Many thanks,

    Tony

About

  • In Cubao was a house sitting along Harvard Street and in the house lived Juned.
  • Short in stature and wide in girth, he is culturally the sum total of the consecutive rule of the Spanish Friars and the Conquistadores; the American Thomasites and the Tammany Hall Politicians, and Ferdinand Marcos and his New Republic or as was known in the vernacular Bagong Lipunan.
  • A Martial Law Baby and a Edsa I participant, Juned has become somewhat of a Sancho Panza minus the Don Quixote.
  • Aside from baratillo @ cubao, Sancho er Juned has several other blogs.
  • Juned also writes for b5media as the blogger for A Feed Is Born blog - all about RSS, webfeeds and information overload.
  • Here is a more detailed version of the about page, verbose and boring, with the exciting and original title of About Juned
