Filipino bloggers and the last few days before Christmas
The traffic along Edsa was horrendous yesterday. In some parts of Metro Manila a friend told me it was worse: In Las Pinas a friend of mine told us he had to spend more than two hours from Las Pinas to Makati - riding a bus, a jeep, and a taxi just to get out. Talk about the seven circles of transport hell. Then another friend send me text message complaining that he had the honor of carrying bags and bags of gifts his S.O. (significant other) had bought. People lined up at the money machines to get cash. Still it was not all stressful. It was the last few days before Christmas and as is the custom Filipinos were using the Christmas Season to break bread.
Last Friday, Filipino bloggers had a meet-up at the Mall of Asia. The EB started early evening and lasted till early in the morning. A lot of things were talked about under the evening sky. The points of discussion were of course blogging, Filipino bloggers, Voltron, Voltes V, keepsakes from Milo, photography, and a whole lot of things. The talk meandered and covered a plethora of things. And that made the evening and morning quite interesting. A fruitful and fun event. Bloggers who were at the meet were:
Jun Asis
Retz Ruiz
Aldrin/Leah Cantos
Carlo Roxas
Ofelia Joy Casala
Loreto Casala Jr.
Gail dela Cruz-Viullanueva
Marc Villanueva
Jayvee Fernandez
Karla Redor
Lauren Dado
Noemi Dado
Noel Bautista
Jhay Rocas
Jomar Hilario
Annalyn Jusay
Rico Mossesgeld
Sasha Manuel
Markku Seguerra
By the way here is a post about transporting fish for Gail and Marc.
As I went home the avenue from Mall of Asia to Edsa was almost car-less and only then could you appreciate the Christmas decors that lined the road.
Before the bloggers meet I had to attend another thanksgiving dinner with my officemate. Aside from food, drinks, and well wishes the event was punctuated with the flashes from the cameras. Everybody it seem was snapshot crazy.
Today the 24th of December will probably be as hectic as well.
