Watching movies during the MMFF

Near the end of the year, at the beginning of Christmas, you will only see local films showing at the cinemas of Metro Manila. This can be a bit annoying since it bumps to the side the regular fare of films to be shown. It can be a bit annoying if there is a big film that is schedule to have its run during Christmas. Then it can be really annoying if the film at the Metro Manila Film Festival are really not worth watching. The films for the Metro Manila Film Festival 2006 is, fortunately, a mix bunch films. So far I have been lucky that nearly all the films I have watched were not horrible, not great, but not horrible.

Maligayang Pasko! Merry Christmas!

In a few hours it will be Christmas and in a few days it will be the end of the year. I hope all of you are in good spirit this Christmas and may the new year bring you health and prosperity. Filipino bloggers and the last few days before Christmas

The traffic along Edsa was horrendous yesterday.In some parts of Metro Manila a friend told me it was worse: In Las Pinas a friend of mine told us he had to spend more than two hours from Las Pinas to Makati - riding a bus, a jeep, and a taxi just to get out. Talk about the seven circles of transport hell. Then another friend send me text message complaining that he had the honor of carrying bags and bags of gifts his S.O. (significant other) had bought. People lined up at the money machines to get cash. Still it was not all stressful. It was the last few days before Christmas and as is the custom Filipinos were using the Christmas Season to break bread.
