Filipino Fashion Designers Inno Soto , Lulu tan-Gan and others ‘s Fashion Show and and Private Sales.

28 April. Concert of the French Pianist Laure Favre-Khan. Philam Life Theatre.

The French virtuoso pianist is coming to Manila as Ambassador of the French NGO Chameleon. Laure Favre-Khan will give a unique performance featuring pieces by Chopin, Liszt, Schumann. April to December. KINSE Human Rights Documentary Film Festival KINSE –

A collection of 15 Human Rights Documentary Films made by 15 of the country’s emerging and known TV and Film directors – presented by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in partnership with ANC , The ABS-CBN News Channel.

April to June. Cine-Club in Alliance Francaise

Every Wednesday screenings at 8:30 pm at the AFM Auditorium, French and French-speaking Film Programmes, Free Admission.

First Week of May. Kilometer 0 : Manila Photo Exhibit in Urban Spaces, Quezon Circle

Kilometer 0 will feature Art (Photography and Videos in particular) in public places. A huge exhibit with three featured artists: Jake Verzoza and Raya Martin and French Photographer Charles Freger. A Franco-Phil event: Alliance Francaise de Manille/Embassy of France to the Philippines.

7 to 28 May, Every Saturday. Portraits of the Youth Cinema at Instituto Cervantes.

A film series dealing with the portrayals of the needs, problems and dreams of the youth. It will tackle different generations ranging from the 1980s to the present, 4 pm and 6 pm screenings.

9 to 22 May. Thunderstorm, Ayala Museum

A Multi-Media Exhibition on the effects of Climate Change – by Goethe-Institut jointly with Ayala Foundation.

9 to 26 May. Rap in Tondo 2 – Hip Hop Project.

A project of Filipino, French, German and Japanese Hip Hop Music Exchanges. Following the success of Rap in Tondo 2010, The Alliance Francaise de Manille, the Goethe-Institut Manila Together with the Japan Foundation are coming up in 2011 with two weeks of Hip Hop Dance , song writing and video workshops, album recording, and a launch concert on 26 May.

11 May. Romanian Wine Festival, (by invitation only)

The Romanian Wine Festival is the annual signature event of the Embassy of Romania. It showcases premium Romanian wines with distinctive quality of great delicacy and smoothness.

19 May. Company Chabatz D’ Entrar – Modern Circus Presents Mobile, RCBC Plaza.

Based on balanced and counterweights, Chabatz D’ Entrar performs with a specific kind of wooden boards called kapla. Mobile will leave the audience breathless and will give them the impression of being thrown up in the air! 19 May. Colina Serrano Quartet, Ayala Museum, Makati City.

20 May, Colina Serrano Quartet, Arts Council Cebu.

The Embassy of Spain in Cooperation with the Ayala Museum in Manila, and The Arts Council in Cebu brings to you the performance of a renowned Spanish Jazz Group called “Colina Serrano Quartet” which will be touring various South East Asian Countries in May. It is a group formed by musicians of a very solid and professional trajectory whose centerpiece is the bass Javier Colina. One of the most prominent figures in the Spanish and European Jazz. Free admission.

26 May. Hip Hop Concert. 9 pm – Venue: B-Slide. Closing concert of the Rap in Tondo 2 featuring Filipino artists like Tondo Tribe, French-German artists like Les Courdes Productions; and Japanese artists Young-G and Big Ben.

2 June. Italian National Day Eugenio Bennato “Taranto Power” , Fashion Walk, Greenbelt 5.

Taranta Power , a cultural and musical movement created by the Italian singer – song writer Eugenio Bennato with the goal to promote it as a means of communication , a typical Italian artistic way at 8:30 pm. A master class will also be held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

3 June – Italian Festival featurin Il paesaggio Del Scritto: Italian Unesco Heritage Sites, Rustan’s Makati City.

90 Photographs of 45 Unesco sites interpreted by photographer Lucas Capuano will be shown at Rustan’s during the Italian Festival (May 15 to June 3). It will be inaugurated on June 3 and the photo exhibit will run for a month.

6 June – The Guernica Project , Ayala Museum Makati.
The Embassy of Spain in cooperation with the Ayala Museum presents the Guernics Project. Various renowned Filipino and Spanish artists will reinterpret the different parts of Pablo Picasso’s Guernica. Free Entrance.

16 June – Eric Legnini Trio – Jazz.

Come and join the Jazz-Funky performance. The Eric Legnini Trio combines its own composition with an intriguing selection of standards. A Franco-Phil event: Alliance Francaise de Manille/Embassy of France to the Philippines.

18 June – Book Launch: Noli Me Tangere & El Filibusterisimo, Instituto Cervantes.

As contribution to Rizal’s 150th anniversary Instituto Cervantes ‘ collection Classicos Hispanofilipinos presents the critical edition of the novels.

18 June, 10 am to 6 pm. Dia E, Instituto Cervantes Dia E is Fiesta dela Lengua Espanol a celebration of the Spanish Language

There will be an open house that ill feature cultural activties and the like.

25 June. Mezhin – Celtic Rock Concert Fete dela Musique.

29 June. Book Launch, 7pm :- Cineastas, nstituto Cervantes.

The book features the portrait of Filipino film makers taken by renowned photographer Oscar Orengo

June. Guhit Cesko: Discovering the Czech Republic Through Art.

An opportunity for children from the Philippines to learn and share the culture of the Czech Republic and showcase their talent. Submission of entries is from June 1 to 30 and the best works will be on exihibit from July to August 2011 at the Museo Pambata.

25 June. 29 Steps LGBT Human Rights: LGBT Rights Festival.

The Lesbian Activism Project (LEAP) Inc and the Embassy of the Kinggdom of the Netherlands will be having a Lesbians Gays Bisexual and Transgenders (LGBTs) presents an LGBT Rights Festival with a collage of pink films. Photo exhibits, pink booths and video caravan showcasing the Yogyakarta Principle.
