Roman Catholics celebrate Christmas by going to midnight mass. In recent years it has been the practice to celebrate the mass a little bit earlier. This is done in order to accommodate the elderly and those who called not go to church at midnight. They call the Anticipated Midnight Mass or a least that is what the priest called it. Regular Saturday Mass is sometimes called Anticipated Sunday Masses. Then again this is not uncommon in the Philippines, where people regularly attend masses every week - on Sundays the churches celebrate ten or more masses to a full house er church er congregation. And then you have Mall masses as well. The past years people have also began visiting their dearly departed a week or a few days before All Saints Day and All Souls Day.

The Prestige

The Prestige is Christopher Nolan’s film adaptation of the critically acclaimed novel written by Christopher Priest. The film generally follows the storyline of the novel but fails to reach the power and effectiveness of the novel’s resolution of the story. The story is about a deadly rivalry, intensified by personal slights and harms caused, between two illusionists at the turn of the century. It is full of twist and turns. The movie is also visually authentic and stunning. It brings you back to the time when legerdemain was one of the main forms of entertainment. When theatres were places people could watch plays, opera, penny operas, slapstick, and magic.

The true purpose of Sigaw ng Bayan?

The People Initiative lost its petition by a vote of one and it was based on the fact that the Lambino and company failed to present a complete copy of the proposed amendments to the signatories. Supporters of Charter Change may decry that they lost on mere technicalities. However, it should be noted that this technicalities or procedures need to be followed faithfully to guarantee ,on the whole, a fair shake and control against abuse. A judgement against in this case, based on insufficiency in form, does not merit a rhetorical pooh pooh.
